The Colorado Avalanche face the Winnipeg Jets for Game Two later on Tuesday night. It should be another fun watch considering the actions which occurred in Game One.

But, the result didn’t go in the Avs’ favor. Hence, they will be looking to steal this game before coming home to Ball Arena with the series tied at one.

Colorado Avalanche (0-1-0)

Of course, the Avalanche fell on Sunday night in a wild 7-6 game in Game One to these same Jets. The major downfall for the team was the lack of saves they got from netminder Alexandar Georgiev.

He gave up seven goals on just 23 shots, while the team in front of him played well defensively. They held Winnipeg to only seven high danger chances, and expected goals of 1.38. Truly unacceptable performance in the crease.

With Justus Annunen still sick, the Avs called up Ivan Prosvetov and sent Arvid Holm back down to the Colorado Eagles. While Georgiev will start, can he find a rebound performance and keep Prosvetov on the bench?

Winnipeg Jets (1-0-0)

While the Jets took Game One 7-6, there are certainly some concerns. Similar to the Avs, it comes in the back end with the defense and goaltending in Connor Hellebuyck.

The Avs showed they’re beatable after they shut down the Avalanche offense throughout the regular season. Colorado was arguably better than them all game long, which is a concern if you’re a Jets fan.

Winnipeg’s depth was crucial in the win, however. Can they shape up the defense and continue their offensive prowess to take a commanding 2-0 series lead to the Mile High City?
